R.D. Howard’s values are deeply rooted in three age-old sayings often shared as guideposts by our late founder, Leroy Howard, as follows: 

• “If everybody…if everybody, would just treat other people the same way that they would want to be treated, the world would have very few man-made problems.”

• “If you don’t have time to do it (your job or work) the first time, you sure don’t have time to do it over… especially with concrete cause it’s getting harder by the minute.” 

And, when it came to explaining his practice of giving ex-offenders a second chance by hiring them, Leroy Howard often said: 

• “If somebody doesn’t give him a job, he has only two choices… to beg or to steal! And, stealing sends him back through prison’s revolving door and begging robs him of his dignity, and destroys the man for life.”
